Attending meetings is one of the tools of recovery of Overeater’s Anonymous.
Download the following OA NFI Meeting List to find an active OA group in your area. All meetings are open and free. There are no dues or membership fees to join OA.
Meetings are gatherings of two or more compulsive eaters who come together to share their personal experiences and the strength and hope OA has given them. They are usually held once a week and run from an hour to an hour and a half. Though there are many types of meetings, fellowship with other compulsive eaters is the basis of them all.
According to the Traditions, bylaws and policies of OA, the only requirement for OA membership is the desire to stop eating compulsively. We ask each person attending to respect the meeting’s group conscience.

You do NOT have to register to ATTEND any OA meeting.
Overeaters Anonymous has approximately 6,500 meetings in over 80 countries. Use the search buttons to find a face-to-face, telephone, online, or non-real-time meeting (meetings that do not meet in real time, such as loops, social media, and mobile apps).
To be registered with the WSO, OA meetings must fulfill the definition of an OA group, which means they meet to practice the Twelve Steps and Traditions of OA, welcome all who have the desire to stop eating compulsively, do not require members to practice any actions to remain a member or to share at a meeting, and as a group they have no affiliation other than OA.
OA virtual meetings consist of telephone, online, and non-real-time meetings. Using telephone or online technology, OA members from around the world may attend meetings together. These meetings take place in “real time” and are fully interactive. Also included are non-real-time meetings, which do not meet in real time. Virtual meetings make recovery from compulsive eating possible for those who are unable to physically attend meetings, and also serve as a valuable program supplement to those who attend face-to-face meetings.
Like all registered OA meetings, virtual meetings welcome all who have the desire to stop eating compulsively, do not require members to practice any actions to remain a member or to share at a meeting, have no affiliations other than OA, and practice the Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions of OA. To find a virtual meeting, choose the Find a Virtual Meeting Link Below.
